The Home began to function in the same year with girl and boys children, drawn from the neighbouring Irula tribal families as well as from surrounding villages.
Care is taken to bring in orphan or semi-orphan children, suffering from poverty, destitution, and abandonment.
Children, spanning from six to seventeen years of age, are enrolled in neighbouring schools for their formal education
